Proposed Business Improvement District 

This is the structural document for the proposed BID's 10 year term.  This plan supports the City Code that will be adopted by City Council after the culmination of a Public Hearing at an upcoming 2025 City Council Meeting  (Date TBA).

Rome, GA is a great example of a successful, long running Business Improvement District.  This webinar walks you through their project from inception to present.  The Washington DDA has modeled their process after Rome's.

The proposed Business Improvement District coincides with the Downtown Development Authority's target area.  The proposed BID will apply to all parcels zone commercial within this district.

Our DDA is in the process of crafting the Supporting Legislation for our local BID.  The Public Feedback Process we've been engaging in is helping to shape these documents. Below are "model" ordinances and bylaws that we are using as guides.
